Family members of U.S. Army Air Corps Pfc. Riego “Tommy” Miguel pose for a family photo during a visit at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, March 31, 2024. Miguel, a Hawaii native, was a crew member with the 7th Emergency Rescue Squadron. On August 8, 1946, Miguel and his crewmates perished during a training accident off the coast of the Mokapu Peninsula, where the remains of himself and his crew were never recovered.
