Family members of U.S. Army Air Corps Pfc. Riego “Tommy” Miguel visit his gravesite at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, March 31, 2024. Miguel, a Hawaii native, was a crew member with the 7th Emergency Rescue Squadron. On August 8, 1946, Miguel and his crewmates perished during a training accident off the coast of Mokapu, where the remains of himself and his crew were never recovered.
