Iftar is a communal breaking of the daily fast during the religious observance of Ramadan. Camp Lemonnier hosts an annual Iftar for personnel to share, learn, observe and participate in the tradition with their partner nation counterparts, neighbors and Muslim U.S. service members.
“We’re proud to support the rights, beliefs and religious practices of our Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Soldiers and civilian team members here at Camp Lemonnier,” said Capt. Suzanne Krauss, installation commanding officer.
Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where they are needed to ensure security and protect U.S. interests. The installation provides world-class support for service members, transient U.S. assets and 38 local tenant commands to operate within the Horn of Africa.
