U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, demonstrate vehicle maintenance capabilities to Maj. Gen. Todd Wasmund, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) commanding general as part of a maintenance terrain walk, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, April 3, 2024. The purpose of the maintenance terrain walk is for paratroopers to demonstrate competence, discipline, and field-level maintenance within the unit.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
