A mortar range is cleared of visual obstructions after soldiers from the 1st Detachment, 185th Engineer Support Company, the 210th Engineer Detachment, and the 1st Detachment, 262nd Engineer Construction Company, New Hampshire Army National Guard, cut down trees with chainsaws and hauled away the branches with heavy machinery during a field training exercise at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, March 29, 2024. The NHARNG engineer units were able to conduct essential training on land clearing and minesweeping while also making a local range safer by verifying the absence of unexploded explosive ordinances and removing visual obstructions.
