JOINT BASE LANGLEY- EUSTIS, Va. – U.S. Soldiers with the 18th Field Artillery Brigade and 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, disembark from a combat rubber reconnaissance craft after conducting an Assault Boat Crossing during the Best Squad Competition at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, March 5, 2024. In this portion of the competition Soldiers must occupy a patrol base, neutralize combatants and seize documents to complete their assigned objective. The U.S. Army Best Squad Competition, a bi-annual event hosted by the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) this year, allows squads to safely demonstrate their mission readiness and represent the XVIII Airborne Corps at higher levels of competition.
