Derek Myers, Buffalo District floating plant/repair fleet, chief engineer skillfully uses a skid-steer to remove sand off a sheet pile cell of the Barcelona Harbor breakwater, Westfield, New York, Mar. 5, 2023. The U.S. Army Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District is preparing the surface of the sheet pile cells to drill preliminary holes to collect data that will be provided to our design team to determine the quantities needed for future grouting of the cells to fill any spaces underneath and ensure the stabilization of the structure.
