The 2d Theater Signal Brigade's spotlight shines on U.S. Army Spc. Kendell Johnson, Information Technology Specialist, 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company, 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced.
Specialist Johnson serves as a Network Systems Operator for a Small Scalable Node, where he configures switching and routing equipment in conjunction with transport services to provide customers with secure and uninterrupted voice and data service.
He was a critical asset in the jumpstart for Security Assistance Group-Ukraine. He was responsible for the implementation of vital switching and routing capabilities, not only to U.S. partners, but also providing the same capabilities to NATO partners. Specialist Johnson also led his team valiantly during all table validations making sure his system was fully operational prior to the Battalion's culminating Signal Range Density event.
During Signal Range Density, he ensured his system was set up quickly and efficiently, while simultaneously conducting mission essential tasks outside of his primary MOS. (U.S. Army graphic by Candy Knight)
