U.S. Marine Corps senior enlisted leaders from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, U.S. Navy Sailors with Amphibious Squadron 11 and Soldiers with the 2nd Amphibious Rapid Deployment Regiment, have a discussion during a senior enlisted leaders’ engagement on White Beach, Okinawa, Japan, March 16, 2024. The SEL engagement served as an opportunity to discuss roles, expectations, and topics impacting leadership among joint forces during Iron Fist 24. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force.
