ISHIGAKI, Japan (Mar. 11, 2024) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Kaitlyn Alfaro hoists the Union Jack during Sea and Anchor detail aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) upon arrival to Ishigaki, Japan for a regularly scheduled port visit. Rafael Peralta is the first United States destroyer to visit Ishigaki. Rafael Peralta is forward-deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
