USS Mobile (LCS 26) Sailors Conduct Damage Control Drill

SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 7, 2024) – Sonar Technician 2nd Class Michelle Venegas Hernandez (left) and Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Jaeleigh Labish, members of the Emergency Medical Response team, treat a simulated casualty during a damage control drill aboard the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Mobile (LCS 26) in the South China Sea, March 7. During the drills, crewmembers responded to various scenarios that prepared them to respond to emergencies at sea. Mobile, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
