    II Marine Expeditionary Force   

    Norwegian Army SSgt. Magnus Lervag, a cold weather instructor with Home Guard 12 (HV-12) prepares Norwegian soldiers from HV-12, and U.S. Marines from II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) Arrival and Assembly Operation Group (AAOG), for the polar plunge to simulate falling through ice while crossing a frozen body of water during Exercise Northern Winter, in Giskas, Norway, March 4, 2024.
