U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Lucas Gauger, 786th Civil Engineer Squadron electrician, participates in rapid airfield damage recovery operations as part of Operation Varsity 24-1, a readiness exercise at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 5, 2024. The RADR operation was to practice repairing an airfield that was destroyed in a simulated missile strike, by cutting into the concrete to remove the damaged sections and pour new concrete to continue airfield operations.
