GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 29, 2024) U.S. Army Spc. Steffano Pallotta, a UH-60 helicopter repairer and crew chief assigned to 2-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, renders a salute to Rear Adm. Christopher Stone, commander of Task Force 76/3, Expeditionary Strike Group 7 and a native of Fort Worth, Texas, on the flight deck of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) during Exercise Cobra Gold 24, while underway in the Gulf of Thailand, Feb. 29, 2024. Cobra Gold, now in its 43rd year, is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored training event that builds on the long-standing friendship between the two allied nations and brings together a robust multinational force to promote regional peace and security in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
