GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 29, 2024) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 1st Class Reyvin Olaes, a native of Cavite, Philippines, signals to a UH-60 Blackhawk, assigned to 2-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, on the flight deck of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) during Exercise Cobra Gold 24, while underway in the Gulf of Thailand, Feb. 29, 2024. Cobra Gold, now in its 43rd year, is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored training event that builds on the long-standing friendship between the two allied nations and brings together a robust multinational force to promote regional peace and security in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
