Sgt. Anita Lopez is a 31-year-old human resource specialist at Joint Force Headquarters.
Lopez joined the Indiana National Guard in August of 2013 in order to create a better life and greater opportunities.
“As a black woman in the Army, I am so glad the time is being taken out to focus on us. We are such a small part of this community, and it is great that we have the spotlight to show our personal lives and achievements.”
Her favorite part of serving in the National Guard has been the lifelong connections and friendships that she has made. She is grateful for the opportunities that the Army has provided her with.
