More than 40 military and civilian personnel from the United States and Mexico joined for the latest gathering of the Security Cooperation Synchronization Workshop (SCSW) Feb. 26-28, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The SCSW is a binational (U.S. and Mexico) and trilateral (U.S. Northern Command [USNORTHCOM], Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional [SEDENA], and Secretaría de Marina [SEMAR]) forum chaired by the USNORTHCOM Director of Strategy, Policy and Plans, the SEDENA Chief of Strategic Planning, and the SEMAR Chief of the Strategic Planning and Coordination Unit. It provides principals at the O-7 level a forum to articulate a mutual vision and discuss their institutional priorities, guiding multi-year security cooperation programs.
