Andre Sobocinski, BUMED historian, listens to LCDR Justin Meeker, assigned to Aviation Survival Training Center; Pensacola during an official visit to Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC) to learn first hand some of the historical and physical nuances of the command that cannot be fully realized through reports and historical data. The position of historian is an important and essential role in Navy Medicine as there is so much data and history that must be remembered, catalogued, and preserved to ensure peak operational efficiency and constant improvement of established practices.
