Brooke Engelman, Maj. Steve Louvet, Spc. Aaron Dorsey, Maj. Christopher Wallace, Spc. Jason Pulido, Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Kraft, Sgt. Prince Tauvela, and Cpt. Michelle Smith trained with the U.S. Navy Surgical Team, U.S. Marine Shock Trauma Platoon and NATO Allies, including Great Britian, Norway, Germany and the Netherlands during Arctic Serpent 2024 in Sessvollmoen, Norway, Jan. 31, 2024. The Norwegian Armed Forces Joint Medical Service hosted surgical teams and combat medics from the U.S. Army, to train in handling severe casualties from the point of injury to the operating table under cold weather conditions. Training included tactical combat casualty care, prolonged field care, damage control resuscitation and damage control surgery. Organizers stated they hoped a multinational environment enhanced the learning potential for all participants and improved the ability to work together in future operations.
