MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Feb. 19, 2024) Seaman Elana Reta, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), signals green well to a landing craaft utility, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 2, during well deck operations in support of an Amphibious Ready Group and Marine Expeditionary Unit readiness and sustainment training exercise in the Mediterranean Sea, Feb. 19. Bataan is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. 6th Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
