JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON – (Feb. 23, 2024) – Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Raulito Galgana III, of Las Vegas, the senior enlisted leader (N3/N5), assigned to Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC) was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by NMFSC Commander, Rear. Adm. Walter Brafford at NMFSC headquarters. Galgana was recognized for his outstanding meritorious service while serving as the command master chief of Navy Medicine Training Support Center from August 2021 to November 2023. He led 500 staff members across four states in the annual graduation of 5,000 Hospital Corpsmen Basic “A” School, 21 Specialty “C” Schools, and five Officer Program students. NMFSC develops and delivers integrated education and training that produces operational medical experts to project Medical Power in support of Naval Superiority.
