On Jan. 31, 2008, Marines of 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, speak with local Iraqis about a recently detonated Improvised Explosive Device and rumored weapons caches near the city of Anah, Iraq. Regimental Combat Team 5 is deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
