Andres Ocampo, a petroleum laboratory specialist, with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, marks the results of a fuel quality surveillance check at a forward arming and refueling point, on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 15, 2024. Fuel quality surveillance checks are conducted to maintain the integrity of fuel being transferred in and out of FARPs. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo- Pacific region.
