Devanta Miller, center-left, both Marine Corps martial arts instructors with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, guide Marines on fighting techniques a during Marine Corps Martial Arts Program course aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 5, 2024. Teaching MCMAP while underway give Marines the opportunity to practice hand-to-hand combat techniques and maintain lethality. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
