Soldiers assigned to the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), along with members of the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” provide ceremonial support during a Full Honor Arrival Ceremony held in honor of the Chief of Staff of the German Army, Lt. Gen. Alfons Mais, at Whipple Field on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., Feb. 1, 2024. Mias was awarded the Legion of Merit by the ceremony's host, U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George.
