U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Ryan McCrum, assigned to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), performs the push-up exercise during the Sgt. Zachary Tellier’s workout of the day as part of the monthly Lion’s Legacy event on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, Feb. 2, 2024. The workout honors Tellier, who passed Sept. 29, 2007 of wounds sustained while on a ground patrol in Afghanistan. The Lion's Legacy series is a monthly competition designed to strengthen unit cohesion and camaraderie across SETAF-AF headquarters through team and individual physical fitness challenges. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
