AMERIYAH, Iraq-- On July 21 a Soldier from 4th Battalion, 1st Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division stationed at Camp Hawk, displays his country's flag with pride by wearing it on his helmet. Soldiers from 3-156th provided the outer cordon while IA Soldiers conducted the search of a furniture store located inside of Ameriyah. By rubbing his index fingers together (Iraqi tradition) and then pointing from his eyes to the American Soldiers below he communicated via makeshift sign language, that he was watching the backs of his brothers. 4-1 IA Soldiers were trained by the military transition team from 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.
