Jaxson Main, third-grade student at Sembach Elementary School, gives an introduction before a performance from eight students at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance at Tiger Theater, Sembach Kaserne, Germany, on Jan. 16, 2024. The students first conducted a poem reading where they referenced Dr. King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech, which was then followed by two song performances highlighting the importance of the Civil Rights Movement and MLK's actions during that time. This year's celebration marks the 37th year that America has set aside time to reflect upon the life of MLK and his contributions to America and the world.
