240114-N-EE352-3070 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 14, 2023) Sailors heave on a messenger line during a replenishment-at-sea with aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70). The messenger line allows the replenishment ship’s spanwire to be received by Hopper. Hopper is assigned to Carrier Strike Group ONE and deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
