The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star (WAGB 10) lifts U.S. Coast Guard divers Petty Officer 1st Class Brian Lehuede and Petty Officer 2nd Class Chuck Fox after a dive operation in McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, Jan. 7, 2024. The U.S. military's support of U.S. Antarctic research began in 1955.
