U.S. Army National Guard Maj. Gen. Errol Schwartz, commanding general of Joint Force Headquarters-District of Columbia, holds during a press conference at the National Guard Armory in Washington, Jan. 18, 2013, as more than 6,000 National Guard soldiers and airmen reported to duty in support of the 57th Presidential Inauguration, scheduled for Jan. 21, 2013. In addition to the National Guard members, more than 5,000 service members from all five branches of the military will work with Joint Task Force - National Capital Region to support the inauguration.
