Coast Guard Cutter Healy returns to Seattle following annual Arctic science mission [Image 6 of 6]
U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB 20) approaches the pier during its return to home port in Seattle on Dec. 15, 2023, following a multi-month deployment to the Arctic and circumnavigating North America. The Healy is the largest and most technologically advanced polar icebreaker in the Coast Guard's fleet and provides more than 4,200 square feet of scientific laboratory space, numerous electronic sensor systems, oceanographic winches, and accommodations for up to 50 scientists.
