Brian Feldman, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) director/Navy medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Portsmouth commanding officer, presents Amy Cahoon, a medical instrument technician (ultrasound technician), the Civilian Service Commendation medal prior to a ribbon cutting marking the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) accreditation, Dec. 8. NMCP is the first Navy military treatment facility (MTS) to receive this accreditation and the third within the military health system (MHS).
