Sebastian Gonzales, a Sweetwater, Texas native, and fire support Marine with Battalion Landing Team 1/8, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), operates a radio during fire support team exercise (FiSTEX) on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 29, 2023. FiSTEX enabled Marines from the 24th MEU to conduct fire support with close air support, artillery, and mortar assets, increasing the lethality and interoperability of the air and ground combat elements.
