Alex Rodriguez, 12th Maintenance Squadron aircraft mechanic, tests the functionality of a T-6 Texan II chip detector, July 27, 2023, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. The chip detects the presence of metal shavings in the aircraft's engine oil and is inspected for functionality every 200 flight hours.
