U.S. airmen with the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 37th Airlift Squadron help load equipment assigned to the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command onto a C-5 Galaxy aircraft Jan. 8, 2013, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Soldiers with the unit were deploying to Turkey to operate Patriot missile batteries along the Turkish-Syrian border. U.S. and NATO Patriot batteries and personnel deployed to Turkey in support of NATO's commitment to defending Turkey's security during a period of regional instability.
