Samantha Swanigan, an administrative Marine with the Marine Corps' Office of Legislative Affairs, in Washington, D.C., Nov. 15, 2023. Each year the United States Marine Corps hosts a birthday cake cutting ceremony for the U.S. Senate in honor of Marines past and present, serving on Capitol Hill.
