Sailors from the USS Tripoli (LHA 7) Junior Enlisted Association receive the 2023 Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Award during the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award ceremony held in the Burke Theatre at Navy Memorial, Washington, Nov. 15, 2023. Bob Feller was a professional baseball player that enlisted in the Navy in 1941 following the events of Pearl Harbor, and the awards recognize a Baseball Hall of Fame member, active Major League Baseball players, and active senior enlisted in the Navy and Marine Corps in reflection of Feller's achievements. The Peer-to-Peer award recognizes junior enlisted who have worked together to promote peer-to-peer mentorship and a reduction in Sailor destructive decision making and behavior.
