David Houde, assigned to United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), discusses the importance of risk assesments in anticipation of a national disaster during the Table-Top Exercise (TTX) portion of the DREE at Kathmandu, Nepal, Nov. 7, 2023. The 2023 Nepal DREE is part of the continued multilateral engagement of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) and the Government of Nepal (GON) and is composed of Expert Academic Discussions (EAD), a combined discussion-based Table-Top Exercises, a Field Technical Exercise (FTX), and multilateral demonstrations. During the TTX, DREE participants will be placed into groups and asked to evaluate a problem set to identify potential civil-military solutions. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Dean Johnson)
