After participating in all aspects of erecting an Expandable, Hard-Sided Shelter, a Base-X Tent, and an Air-Supported TEMPER tent, NMRLC Reservist then went through the reverse process of taking them all down and repackaging them in their proper storage housing units.
NMRLC Reserve Component personnel completed their active duty training and orientation by deploying a 3 to 1 Expandable, Hard-Sided Shelter used as an operating room, among other applications, in the Navy’s Role III Expeditionary Medical (EXMED) platforms on Cheatham Annex, Nov. 7. They also practiced deploying a Base-X Tent which has the flexibility to be used in Role II - III Navy EXMED platforms, depending on mission requirements. They also had an opportunity to practice deploying an Air-Supported TEMPER tent used throughout the Navy’s Role III EXMED platforms.
