    NMRLC Reservist Engineering Aides Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael Newman hammers an iron stake supporting rod into the ground under the close eye of Reservist Utilitiesman Petty Officer 1st Class Ilona Obrzut during the initial set-up stages of an Air-Supported TEMPER tent used throughout the Navy’s Role III EXMED platforms.

    NMRLC Reserve Component personnel completed their active duty training and orientation by deploying a 3 to 1 Expandable, Hard-Sided Shelter used as an operating room, among other applications, in the Navy’s Role III Expeditionary Medical (EXMED) platforms on Cheatham Annex, Nov. 7. They also practiced deploying a Base-X Tent which has the flexibility to be used in Role II - III Navy EXMED platforms, depending on mission requirements. They also had an opportunity to practice deploying an Air-Supported TEMPER tent used throughout the Navy’s Role III EXMED platforms.
