Ground surgical team members assigned to the 724th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron explain the procedures taken during a casualty evacuation training exercise at Air Base 201, Agadez, Niger, Oct. 23, 2023. The exercise involved role players with simulated injuries, which allowed first responders and medical providers to work through tactical field care, transport and emergency room procedures. This type of exercise allows the 724th EABS and 409th Air Expeditionary Group to continue efforts to transition from expeditionary to enduring base operations in support of U.S. Africa Command objectives in the West African Sahel region.
