While volunteering his time with Semper Fidelis All-American Athletes at a youth day camp, Sgt. Matthew Lee, drill instructor, Support Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, realizes he has a group of children with a "volume problem" when they don't respond loud enough after a set of exercises is completed. The YMCA, in partnership with the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, ran the day camp. The Semper Fi Bowl is the culmination of the Marine Corps Semper Fidelis Football program, through which the Marine Corps purposefully engages with well-rounded student athletes to share leadership lessons that will enable success in their future.
