U.S. Army Maj. Brian Martin, executive officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 15th Engineer Battalion (15th EN BN), 18th Military Police Brigade, briefs during a command post exercise (CPX), Oct. 16, 2023, at the Joint Multinational Simulations Center in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The 15th EN BN executed a CPX to train the battle staff to function as a cohesive team as they planned and conducted concurrent operations. This included prioritizing requirements and competing demands for the battalion's engineering resources, like incorporating an HHC, a Multi-Role Bridging Co. and a Combat Engineer Co.-Armored into a wet gap crossing; while also planning for area mobility and survivability to enable sustainment operations.
