Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) carry boxes of hygienic supplies during a Project Handclasp community service event at James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City. Project Handclasp is the Navy's worldwide outreach program that accepts and transports goodwill materials and aid for distribution to foreign nation recipients. Emory S. Land is undergoing a voyage repair period in Subic Bay during an extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
