Logistics Specialist Seaman Brian Carrasquillo, assigned to submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), reads a holiday poem while participating in a community service event at Niños Pag Asa orphanage in Old Cabalan. Sailors and faculty decorated the center for the children and helped them celebrate the holidays. Niños Pag Asa is a local orphanage that cares for children with special needs and disabilities. Emory S. Land is undergoing a voyage repair period in Subic Bay during an extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
