A U.S. Air National Guard Aircraft Armaments Systems specialist assigned to the 148th Fighter Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard begins disassembles a MAU-12 D/A bomb rack during a scheduled inspection on October 12, 2023. Responsible for maintaining launch and release devices on our F-16s, Aircraft Armaments Systems specialists ensure that explosive devices can be accurately delivered for our jets. From testing and evaluating weapons systems to loading ordnance, these professionals make sure that when a pilot pulls the trigger, the devices successfully launch away from the jet toward the target.
