Twenty-two military families took a break from the hustle and bustle of the Army life on Fort Jackson and headed to Twin Lakes for the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s Fall Family Campout, Oct. 14-15.
Families paid $10 per child under 12 years of age, and $20 per person 13 and over. Families could camp anywhere there was open land and were given demonstrations to pitch a tent and build a fire. They were also provided with hot dogs, chips, snacks, coffee, s'mores and more.
