U.S. Marine Brig. Gen. Farrell Sullivan, the commanding general of Training Command, speaks during the groundbreaking ceremony for a combat water survival training support facility at Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 11, 2023. The facility will include two exterior training tanks with dive platforms and an underwater egress training system to accommodate mandatory annual swim qualifications, water survival training and amphibious vehicle egress training for more than 8,000 Marines and sailors that operate within the 21 Area.
