JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. – Members of the Fort Eustis community walk a mile together in honor of those who have passed away, who are still fighting, and who have survived Breast Cancer during the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Oct. 11, 2023. Charlotte Haley, whose sister, daughter, and granddaughter had breast cancer, distributed peach-color ribbons to call attention for research funding, eventually the pink ribbon became the official ribbon for breast cancer awareness seen at all awareness events.
